Cara Effinger

NC Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist #6078

Certified Yoga Teacher

Cara is the owner of Stillpoint Healing Arts and has been a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist since 2006.  She graduated from The Edmund Morgan School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in 2005 where she received advanced training in neuromuscular therapy. She has also studied Facial Reflexology under Lone Sorensen and is a certified facial reflexologist.
Cara has always had a passion for helping others and after discovering the healing benefits of massage therapy for herself, she pursued an education in therapeutic massage so she could help others to improve their quality of life. By combining her expertise in Hot Stone Therapy and training in Neuromuscular Therapy, Cara has developed a unique therapeutic experience to aid her clients in pain management and stress reduction.

Cara has practiced meditation since she was an early teen to help with anxiety. Meditation has brought a deep sense of peace in her life leading her to pursue training in Transcendental Meditation in 2018.  Cara is a Certified Kids Yoga Instructor through Kids Twist Yoga and is trained to teach children from birth to 18 years of age. After 20 years of practicing yoga on her own Cara received her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2019.
Cara feels that her training is a calling and hopes to give the gift of yoga and mindfulness to as many people as she can. Imagine what the future can hold when we all practice self-care and show loving kindness to themselves and each other. The entire universe will benefit and the effects will last for generations to come if not significantly change the course of humanity altogether.
